A trip to the annual oddities market in Greenpoint, Brooklyn was where I found inspiration for this song. The market was full of strange objects, images and art pieces.

One of them (which I fell in love with at first sight) was this wooden art piece featuring a dancing skeleton. It immediately got me thinking carefree and peaceful thoughts. A few months later, Dancing Bones was written.
